Education is paramount to the people of Ilobu and that is why many Ilobu sons and daughters are seen at higher positions in key establishments throughout Nigeria and beyond. Ilobu had produced many erudite scholars and some of them are now seen in various educational, economical and political outlets throughout the country. Ilobu is blessed with gifted and talented people who had in one way or the other worked for successful running of the then government of Oyo State before the creation of Osun State.

Many of Ilobu sons and daughters fought vigorously with "pen and action" to ensure the creation of Osun State by then self-acclaimed Military President--General Babangida. Since the creation of Osun State, involvement of Ilobu sons and duaghters in ensuring its success is  politically, economically, socially and educationally priceless, and that is why it will be insufficient to talk about Osun State without mentioning the part Ilobu took to make sure that the creation of the state is a success.
